The TLC and Street Smart Instruction Inc. offer a variety of resources to help applicants begin the licensing process and prepare for the TLC exam, as well as for licensees to stay updated on the latest information.
Application Process
- Begin your TLC application on the TLC LARS website.
- You must take all required courses, which include the 3-Day Course, WAV, and Defensive Driving. Street Smart Instruction offers all three courses. Simply click the link for more information and to register.
- After taking the courses, register for and pass the TLC exam.
- Complete other required procedures such as medical exam, drug test, and fingerprints.
- Upload all required documents in the TLC UP portal.
- You will receive an email from TLC when you have completed all requirements and your license is being mailed to you.
